How did you celebrate Valentine's Day?

i had a fantastic valentine's day! i had an appointment in the morning, and when i got back john had some flowers for me! i hadn't had anyone give me flowers in a long time! it was really nice. we went to the international district, and had dinner and then did a little shopping for candy and stickers (two of my favorite things!) at uwajimaya. then we got home, and continued our "jem & the holograms" marathon. i have the best boyfriend ever!

What did you do in 2007 that you’ve never done before?
fell in love.

Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i didn't have any resolutions this year... i might make some for next year, though.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope.

Did anyone close to you die?
no.

What countries did you visit?
i went to canada, but it was only to help someone move.

What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
i'm not sure.

june 29th was the night i met john.

i don't think i really had any achievments!

weight watchers.

i think i'm happier. i'm definitely poorer and fatter, though.

i wish i had gotten a chance to go swimming last summer. i wish i had been able to go to more shows, too.

guess what... john and i just got back from seeing "jesus christ superstar" at the paramount! allison and scott suprised us with tickets! it's so funny, 'cos i didn't know it was playing until tonight, when we passed by it on our way to meet allie and scott, and i was all like, "man... i wish we had tickets!" ...and then they suprised us at dinner! it was awesome... ted neeley (the guy who starred in the movie) played jesus, and his voice has definitely aged, but he still did a great job! and corey glover (from living colour) did an excellent job as judas! it was great! much better than the modernized version i saw a few years back.

i went and saw "sweeney todd" today with my mom and my sister, which was exciting, since we're all fans of the musical. i was pretty impressed... they left out some of the songs, though. but it was good anyway. lots of blood!

but yeah... other than that, not much going on here. penpals - tomorrow i will get letters sent out.

john and i went on a date tonight! we went to see shonen knife at chop suey. i'll give you a run down.

the first band that went on was called verona grove. they were kind of fun to watch, i guess... i hate to talk shit about bands, but their sound was just really unoriginal. really kind of disney channel mall punk, if that makes any sense.

the next band up was juilette dagger. they were alright. i don't really know what else to say about juliette dagger... the singer was a foxy girl.

shonen knife were awesome! they opened with "konnichiwa" and closed with "buttercup (i'm a super girl)." they had these awesome pink guitars... i don't know what kind they were, though... some weird japanese brand. they played songs about spam emails, and songs about the ramones. anyway, it was rad.

oh, and we ran into brian, and it was nice to see him.

i finally have a job! i went in for an interview today, and they gave me the job on the spot! i'm working in the toddler room at a daycare, and i'm so excited! i start on monday! yay!

1. my favorite movie as a kid was "beezbo: an adventure in learning manners." it was one of the free rentals at our local blockbuster. years later, my sister, callie found a copy of it on vhs and gave it to me as a gift!

2. i collect old (finished) paint-by-numbers. i find them at thrift stores. i only have two so far, though.

3. i've never been camping. i have slept in a tent a couple times, though.
